ANNOUNCING ART OF TIME ENSEMBLE’S CODA
Dear Friends,
After much consideration, I have decided to wind down Art of Time over the next two years. Before the end, we'll be saying goodbye to our beloved audience with our 25th and final Coda season at Harbourfront Centre. In addition to our final concert season, we plan to finish 2 ground breaking legacy projects and a digital archive that will live for years to come.
When I started Art of Time Ensemble in 1998, I wanted to create a chamber music series like no other. I wanted to take classical music out of its silo and present it alongside other styles of music and other performing art forms, to explore the theatre inherent in music and the music inherent in theatre, and to challenge preconceived notions of how music should be presented.
I never imagined that it would grow into the company it is today. In the last twenty-five years we have created over 80 unique projects involving some of Canada’s greatest artists and performed close to 400 concerts throughout North America and Europe. None of this would have been possible without the incredible generosity of our supporters who have been on this journey with us from the very beginning.
I’m incredibly proud of everything I’ve accomplished with Art of Time in these 25 years and it feels good to make room for the up and coming. I look forward to sharing this final season with you all. More information about how you can support our Coda campaign can be found here.
Sincerely,
Andrew Burashko, Artistic Director
