I Send You This Cadmium Red follows the correspondence between writer and painter John Berger and his friend John Christie, a painter and filmmaker. Their words, a parry-and-riposte on the sensual experience of colour, are set to original music by Gavin Bryars and illuminated by the dreamscape animations of director Bruce Alcock. Actors Julian Richings and Alon Nashman, under the direction of Daniel Brooks, perform alongside a chamber ensemble of exceptional musicians led by Artistic Director Andrew Burashko.
