Conductor David Fallis has led critically acclaimed productions of operas for Toronto's Opera Atelier. He has conducted for the Opera Atelier production of Lully's Armide at the Royal Opera House in Versailles. He has conducted for Houston Grand Opera, Singapore Festival, Festival Vancouver, among many others. As Artistic Director of the Toronto Consort, he has toured extensively in North America and Europe and has led the ensemble on ten CDs. He conducted the world premiere of R. Murray Schafer's The Children's Crusade at the 2009 Luminato Festival in Toronto, and in 2010 he helped found Choir 21, for Soundstreams Canada. Mr. Fallis was the producer and conductor of historical music for the TV series The Tudors, and now works on The Borgias. He teaches in the graduate department of the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto.
