JOHN WELSMAN

John Welsman is a composer, producer and arranger of music for television and film. Scoring highlights include the TV series and movies: Road To Avonlea, My Friend Rabbit, The Mighty Jungle, Franklin and Friends, Stolen Miracle, Murder Most Likely, and Borrowed Hearts.

Welsman is a five-time Gemini Award winner, having won the 1990, 1992, 1995 and 1996 Gemini Awards for 'Best Original Score for a Series' for Road To Avonlea, as well as the 1994 Gemini Award for 'Best Original Score for a Program or Mini-Series' for The Bellringer. He also won, with co-writer Cherie Camp, the 2010 Genie for 'Achievement in Music - Original Song' for 'Oh Love' from the multi Genie nominated feature Nurse.Fighter.Boy. In all he has earned 12 Gemini Award nominations for his work.
