SHAUNA ROLSTON

Award-winning cellist Shauna Rolston is considered one of the most compelling and unique musical voices on the stage today. Shauna has appeared around the world, performing with many distinguished artists.

Her most recent CD, Dreamscape, features Shauna as soloist with cello orchestra in arrangements of popular classical favourites. Upcoming releases include Icicles of Fire featuring the music of Heather Schmidt written for Shauna with the composer at the piano and the Bach and Britten solo cello suites.

Shauna is also Professor of Cello and Head of Strings at the University of Toronto and a Visiting Artist for the Music and Sound Programs at The Banff Centre. Shauna earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Yale University and a Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music.
