VERONIQUE MATHIEU
An avid contemporary music performer, Véronique premiered and commissioned many works by American and Canadian composers. She has performed as soloist with orchestras such as the National Arts Centre Orchestra, the Oakville Symphony Orchestra, and many others. She has recorded for the CD series New Music at Indiana University, and the label of Radio-Canada.
Artist-in-residence at the Festival International de Musica de Piracicaba in Brazil, she regularly performs with the New York Chamber Soloists and the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra.
Véronique completed her Bachelor's Degree in Music at the Québec Conservatory. She is a candidate for the Doctor of music degree in violin performance at Indiana University under the guidance of Mark Kaplan. Ms. Mathieu currently teaches violin and viola at State University of New York in Buffalo.
