Volunteer with Art of Time
Art of Time is looking for enthusiastic volunteers aged 16+ to contribute to the success of Art of Time’s 17/18 Concert Season. There are a variety of different roles for participants;
MERCHANDISE TEAM
The Merchandise Team delivers great customer service to patrons who want to purchase recordings, posters, t-shirts, and more. If you’re comfortable handling cash and providing customer service to patrons, we’d love to hear from you. These shifts take place at Harbourfront Centre Theatre. Training and listening material will be provided.
INFO DESK TEAM
The Art of Time Info Desk team provides an enthusiastic frontline resource to curious patrons. If you’re passionate about music and performance, we’d love your help in chatting with Art of Time patrons about the various ways they can get involved. You’ll be working at the Harbourfront Centre Theatre during shows. Training and support materials will be provided.
PROGRAM PREPARATION & OFFICE ASSISTANCE Many hands make light work, and we need some help putting together programs and direct mail campaigns. If you want to meet new people and get some office experience, this is the role for you.
MINUTE TAKERS
We’re looking for 2 volunteers to help capture the activities at our Governance Committee and Board Meetings. Returning volunteers are given priority access to this position, but new volunteers may apply. New volunteers interested in this role are asked to submit a CV to Kate at kbangay@artoftimeensemble.com for review.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All volunteers are asked to attend at least one information session. Volunteers can train either at a pre-designated training session (recommended), or on-site the first day of your scheduled shift. The pre-designated training sessions are approximately 1.5 hours in length. Light refreshments will be provided. Art of Time Ensemble is committed to reducing barriers to participation. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
The Art of Time Concert Season runs from September through to May, and we have a variety of events through that time period for which volunteers are sought - volunteering with Art of Time is flexible and can meet your schedule needs! Additional details regarding volunteer schedules will be provided at the training sessions.
