The Poem/The Song explored the intersection of poetry and music, examined from as many different angles as possible. The concert featured the poetry of August Kleinzahler, Walt Whitman, T.S. Eliot, Margaret Atwood (who was also a featured performer), Petrarch and Leonard Cohen set to music by Johnny Mercer, George Crumb, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Dan Parr, Franz Liszt and Leonard Cohen, respectively.
